The company has engaged <strong>Yukuskokon Professional Services<\/strong> in a new partnership and expanded existing agreements with BBA USA Inc. and SLR International Corporation. All key technical consultants are now in place, pending regulatory approvals from Oregon state authorities to begin drilling, currently scheduled for July 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Aurora is the largest measured and indicated conventional uranium deposit in the United States: <strong>32.75 million pounds<\/strong> in the Indicated category and 4.98 million pounds in the Inferred category, certified under the SK-1300 standard. Adjacent to Aurora lies the Cordex deposit, also held by the company, which Eagle believes has the potential to further expand the project&#8217;s overall resource inventory. The drilling program designed by BBA USA covers 27,000 feet and is intended to address data gaps identified through a Gap Analysis Study, advancing the project toward a Pre-Feasibility Study (<strong>PFS<\/strong>). BBA had previously completed the SK-1300 resource estimate for Aurora in August 2025. A drilling services contract has been signed with Harris Drilling, while permitting management has been assigned to SLR International. Environmental baseline studies were launched in May 2026 as part of the PFS workflow.<\/p>\n<p>Eagle&#8217;s strategy extends well beyond extraction. The company aims to build an integrated nuclear platform combining domestic uranium resources with proprietary technology for <strong>small modular reactors<\/strong> (SMRs), specifically in the SLLIM (small, long life) and VSLLIM (very small, long life) configurations. This mine-to-power vertical model directly addresses the growing demand for domestic energy security. The policy environment could hardly be more supportive: the US administration has explicitly identified rebuilding the domestic uranium supply chain as a strategic priority. At the end of 2025, uranium was reinstated on the US critical minerals list, with immediate implications for permitting procedures and access to federal capital. The Department of Energy has allocated $2.7 billion to strengthen domestic enrichment services over the next decade.<\/p>\n<p>The underlying urgency is real. <strong>US nuclear plants consume roughly 50 million pounds of uranium per year<\/strong>, yet domestic production, even at full capacity, barely reaches four to five million pounds. In 2023, 99% of U3O8 purchased by American nuclear operators came from abroad \u2014 Canada, Australia, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. The law banning imports of enriched uranium from Russia will take full effect in 2028, cutting off a source that has historically supplied around a quarter of US reactor demand. In this context, companies holding uranium resources in American soil occupy a structurally advantaged position. Eagle is well aware of this, and has built its entire industrial narrative around Aurora.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Pre-Feasibility Study is expected in the second half of 2027<\/strong>. The company has been listed on Nasdaq since February 25, 2026, following its merger with Spring Valley Acquisition Corp. II. The coming months will be shaped by Oregon permitting approvals, the actual start of drilling operations, and results from environmental baseline analyses.
