The Norwegian group now targets 2026 revenues of between NOK 50 and 55 billion, up from a previous estimate of around NOK 50 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The quarterly figures point to solid operational performance: revenues of NOK 13.1 billion with an underlying EBITDA margin of 9.2%, and operating cash flow of NOK 2.49 billion. Order intake for the quarter reached NOK 9.9 billion, driven by HVDC power cable contracts, the Tussa II hydropower project, and a long-term agreement with Cenovus Energy in Canada. Net cash stood at NOK 4.3 billion. During the half-year period, Aker also distributed NOK 4.2 billion in ordinary and special dividends to shareholders.<\/p>\n<p>Underpinning these strong financials is a deliberate push into new energy markets. The most significant, in terms of long-term potential, is <strong>small modular reactors<\/strong>. In April 2026, <strong>Aker Solutions<\/strong> signed a memorandum of understanding with <strong>Rolls-Royce SMR<\/strong>, becoming the primary partner for supplying non-nuclear components for the prefabricated modules. The agreement covers collaboration on design, delivery models and procurement strategies, with mutual exclusivity on this component category. On the back of the deal, Rolls-Royce SMR has begun scouting UK sites for manufacturing facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Aker&#8217;s industrial positioning in the SMR market is already taking shape. Rolls-Royce SMR has been selected as the preferred supplier under the UK nuclear programme, with the British government committing between \u00a32.5 and \u00a33 billion and Wylfa identified as a potential site for up to three units. The Czech Republic has issued a binding contract for preliminary works at the Temel\u00edn site. In Sweden, during Q2 2026, Videberg Kraft chose Rolls-Royce SMR as its partner for three units on the Var\u00f6 peninsula. Aker Solutions brings to this landscape decades of modular construction expertise built up in oil and gas \u2014 capabilities that CEO Kjetel Digre has described as directly transferable to the SMR value chain.<\/p>\n<p>The Rolls-Royce SMR reactor design is currently at Step 3 of the UK Generic Design Assessment, with completion targeted by end-2026. Revenue from SMR construction activity remains some years away, but the strategic value of the partnership is already reflected in market sentiment: Aker&#8217;s share price was trading near its 52-week high on results day.
