Greenridge Exploration<\/strong> signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement on July 30, 2026, with a major Southeast Asian conglomerate active in the global energy sector. The deal covers a non-brokered private placement of CAD 3 million<\/strong>, first announced on July 20. Closing is expected in the third quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approvals.<\/p>\n

The Asian investor will acquire approximately 17.17% of the company<\/strong> on a non-diluted basis, through the purchase of 13,111,888 units at CAD 0.2288 each. Each unit comprises one common share and one-half warrant, exercisable at CAD 0.34 for a period of 36 months. The placement is non-brokered, meaning all proceeds \u2014 net of ordinary expenses \u2014 go directly to Greenridge, with no finder’s fees or commissions involved.<\/p>\n

Greenridge has built one of Canada’s largest uranium-focused project portfolios. The company holds 13 uranium projects covering approximately 167,573 hectares, alongside nine strategic metals projects \u2014 gold, nickel, copper, and cobalt \u2014 spanning a further 74,666 hectares. Its flagship asset is the Black Lake Uranium Project<\/strong>, located in the northeastern portion of the Athabasca Basin, where Greenridge holds a 40% interest alongside Uranium Energy Corp. (50.43%) and Orano Canada (8.57%). The discovery hole drilled in 2004 returned 0.69% U3O8 over 4.4 metres. Nearby, the Hook-Carter Uranium Project<\/strong> \u2014 in which Greenridge holds 25% and Denison Mines Corp. holds 75% \u2014 sits approximately 13 km from NexGen Energy’s Arrow deposit and 20 km from Paladin Energy’s Triple R, two of the most significant discoveries in the region. In the Thelon Basin, the Nut Lake Uranium Project<\/strong> returned rock samples grading up to 31.13% U3O8 during the 2024 prospecting campaign.<\/p>\n

The interest shown by a Southeast Asian conglomerate in Canadian uranium reflects a well-established trend: countries across the region \u2014 including Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines \u2014 are evaluating or actively launching nuclear energy programmes and are seeking direct access to raw materials. Positioning in the upstream segment \u2014 exploration and mine development \u2014 before projects reach maturity is a strategy several Asian players are pursuing with growing conviction. Entering as a significant shareholder, with board observer rights and pro-rata participation in future financings, signals a commitment that goes well beyond a purely financial investment.<\/p>\n

For Greenridge, the fresh capital arrives at a critical juncture: the winter 2026 drilling programme at Hook-Carter \u2014 conducted alongside Denison Mines \u2014 is already underway, and the Carpenter Lake Uranium Project has just received its NI 43-101 technical report. With a portfolio of 22 projects covering approximately 242,239 hectares in total, the company now has the resources to accelerate activity on multiple fronts simultaneously.
