At TerraPower, he rose through the ranks to the top operational role, overseeing engineering, nuclear fuel, regulatory affairs, supply chain, and quality across the company&#8217;s entire project portfolio. The most significant milestone of his tenure was securing the Nuclear Regulatory Commission&#8217;s construction permit for <strong>Natrium<\/strong> \u2014 the first such permit ever issued in the United States for an advanced commercial SMR. Prior to becoming COO, he served as Senior Vice President and Design Authority for the 345-megawatt-electric Natrium demonstration project, with direct responsibility over all engineering and design testing activities.<\/p>\n<p>At <strong>Hadron Energy<\/strong> \u2014 listed on Nasdaq under the ticker HDRN since May 2026 \u2014 Williams will lead an engineering organization spanning hardware, software, systems, product, manufacturing, testing and validation, quality, and program management.
