Structured as a statutory plan of arrangement, the deal closed on August 21, 2026, following months of regulatory approvals involving the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Canadian Securities Exchange.<\/p>\n<p>The path to full control of Copper Mountain began in October 2023, when Myriad signed an option agreement with Rush. By December 2025, the company had already earned a 75% interest by spending over $5.5 million in eligible expenditures on the project, with the remaining 25% still held by Rush. That split is now history. Myriad issued a total of 24,983,671 of its own shares to Rush shareholders, based on a conversion ratio of one Myriad share for every 1.85 Rush shares held.<\/p>\n<p>Copper Mountain is no ordinary site. Wyoming&#8217;s mining district hosts historic uranium deposits and once-active mines, including the <strong>Arrowhead Mine<\/strong>, which produced approximately 500,000 pounds of U\u2083O\u2088. In the late 1970s, Union Pacific carried out around 2,000 drill holes in the area and advanced mine planning, before the collapse of the uranium market in 1980 brought everything to a halt. Those investments, restated in 2026 dollars, amount to roughly C$125 million \u2014 a substantial technical foundation that Myriad is now systematically recovering and updating through its own drilling campaigns and district-wide geophysical surveys.<\/p>\n<p>Myriad CEO <strong>Thomas Lamb<\/strong> described the transaction as &#8220;a meaningful value catalyst,&#8221; emphasizing that outright ownership of Copper Mountain enables a cleaner corporate structure and full operational control over a project the company believes could become the largest uranium development in America. An ambitious claim \u2014 but not without merit: mineralized zones have expanded with every exploration campaign, with prospects such as Canning, Midnight, Bonanza Trend, and Steffen Hill regularly added to the target portfolio. Phase two drilling is already underway.<\/p>\n<p>The transaction also includes a spin-out component: Rush shareholders received one share of <strong>Rush Spinco<\/strong> for every four Rush shares held. Rush Spinco holds ownership of the Boxi Property in Quebec, allowing Rush to retain its only other significant asset while Myriad maintains an exclusive focus on Wyoming. The clean separation avoids management distractions and concentrates resources on a single district.<\/p>\n<p>Market conditions are favorable. U.S. energy policy in recent years has firmly established Wyoming as the go-to jurisdiction for domestic uranium production, with faster regulatory processes and growing industrial demand driven by the expansion of civilian nuclear power. For Myriad, the timing of the acquisition coincides with a window in which advanced projects on American soil are attracting interest from both investors and utilities.
