Skyharbour Resources<\/strong> kicked off the first drilling phase at the Getty East<\/strong> property on October 7, 2026, within the Russell Lake Project area in Saskatchewan. The program is fully funded by Denison Mines<\/strong> under its earn-in rights as part of their joint venture agreement, and consists of approximately 3,600 metres of diamond drilling across ten to twelve holes.<\/p>\n

The Getty East property covers 3,105 hectares and forms part of a broader strategic deal closed in December 2025, through which Skyharbour and Denison reorganized the Russell Lake Project into four separate joint ventures: Russell Lake, Getty East, Wheeler North, and Wheeler River Inlier Claims. Skyharbour holds a 70% interest in Getty East and acts as operator. Denison holds the remaining 30%, with earn-in rights allowing it to increase its stake to 70% through total exploration expenditures of CAD 15 million<\/strong> over seven years. The overall transaction is valued at up to CAD 61.5 million.<\/p>\n

The drilling campaign targets two distinct objectives. The first is the Little Man Lake Uranium Zone<\/strong>, where previous campaigns had already identified uranium mineralization. The second is the continuation of the Middle Lake trend<\/strong>, a mineralized structure whose historical results \u2014 obtained on adjacent claims held by Cameco \u2014 include high-grade intercepts along the same structural corridor as Getty East. The geological rationale is straightforward: if the trend extends across the property boundary, Getty East could host a significant portion of it.<\/p>\n

The geographic setting adds further appeal to the area. The Russell Lake Project spans 73,314 hectares in the eastern Athabasca Basin of northern Saskatchewan, strategically positioned between Cameco<\/strong>‘s Key Lake and McArthur River operations to the west and Skyharbour’s Moore project to the east. Denison controls the Wheeler River Project, which directly borders the area to the west. This is one of the world’s most infrastructure-rich and technically sophisticated uranium mining districts, a factor that significantly reduces the time and cost required to advance any discovery toward production.<\/p>\n

The Getty East program is part of an even more ambitious 2026 campaign targeting 15,000 metres of drilling<\/strong> in total, structured across multiple phases covering the entire Russell Lake Project. Skyharbour had already completed 9,595 metres across nineteen holes during 2023 and approximately 9,650 metres throughout 2024, with results that included high-grade mineralization in the newly identified Fork Zone. The financing structure \u2014 with Denison covering Getty East costs through its earn-in \u2014 allows Skyharbour to advance on multiple fronts simultaneously without deploying its own capital on this specific property.<\/p>\n

Should the ongoing holes confirm the continuity of the Middle Lake trend within Getty East’s boundaries, the property’s geological profile would change substantially. Denison would have a concrete incentive to accelerate spending toward its 70% target, while Skyharbour would see its entire Russell Lake portfolio rerated.
