The recognition comes from the &#8220;ARC MarketMap for Enterprise Asset Management 2026&#8221; study, which compares the 16 leading vendors of these systems. The announcement was made on November 4 from Zurich.<\/p>\n<p>The company&#8217;s EAM portfolio includes two products. <strong>Ellipse EAM<\/strong> is aimed at electric utilities and other asset-intensive industries with many facilities to maintain. <strong>Asset Suite<\/strong> addresses the specific needs of nuclear power plant operators. According to ARC, the recognition reflects the company&#8217;s industry expertise, its large installed base and its ongoing investment in solutions for mission-critical, asset-intensive operations.<\/p>\n<p>For the nuclear sector, Asset Suite is the product that matters most. According to the product description, it is used by nuclear operators and fossil-fuel plants to manage complex infrastructure, regulatory compliance and the planning of maintenance outages. It includes tools for plant reliability and availability, mobile and data analytics capabilities, and a cybersecurity framework that supports IT\/OT convergence.<\/p>\n<p>ARC cites the strategic alliance with <strong>Microsoft<\/strong> as a distinguishing factor. The agreement, announced in January 2026, combines Ellipse EAM and Hitachi Energy&#8217;s industrial sector expertise with Microsoft&#8217;s cloud, data, productivity and artificial intelligence technologies. Ellipse integrates Dynamics 365, Fabric, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Foundry in a single environment for data, analytics and operational workflows. The stated goal is to move from reactive maintenance to asset lifecycle management that intervenes before a failure occurs.<\/p>\n<p>Andy Howell, global head of Hitachi Energy&#8217;s Enterprise Software Solutions group, noted that the company has been developing EAM solutions for more than 40 years. Dayan Rodriguez, Microsoft&#8217;s corporate vice president for Manufacturing and Mobility, called the recognition well deserved and spoke of a more connected approach to managing assets and operations.<\/p>\n<p>The story is also relevant for Italy. If the country returns to building reactors, whether conventional or modular, operators will need established systems for maintenance, compliance and scheduled outages.
