Eagle Nuclear Energy Corp. (NASDAQ: NUCL) has selected CBIZ CPAs P.C. as its independent registered public accounting firm. This is far more than a procedural formality: for a company that only went public on Nasdaq six months ago, bringing on a well-established auditor sends a clear signal to the institutional investors the nuclear sector is drawing in with mounting interest.
Eagle joined Nasdaq on February 25, 2026, becoming the first U.S. company to combine domestic uranium exploration with proprietary small modular reactor technology to list on an American exchange. The structure it is building is vertically integrated: control over the raw material and the technology that converts it into energy. Its flagship project is the Aurora Uranium Project, located on the Oregon-Nevada border, with an estimated resource of 32.75 million pounds in the Indicated category and 4.98 million pounds Inferred, calculated under the SK-1300 standard by BBA USA in 2025. Adjacent to Aurora lies the Cordex deposit, which the company believes can further expand its total resource inventory.
Eagle’s SMR technology operates under an exclusive license from UNMRI, the technology arm of the University of New Mexico, and is based on liquid metal-cooled reactors. Two sizes are under development: the VSLLIM, with an electrical capacity below 10 MWth, and the SLIMM, with output ranging from 10 to 100 MWth. The range is designed for distributed applications, where flexibility matters as much as rated power. In May 2026, the company engaged Tensor Medium to carry out AI-assisted reactor simulation and optimization, advancing on the technical front in parallel with its mining activities.
On the extraction side, Eagle is targeting a pre-feasibility study in the second half of 2027. Working toward that milestone, it launched a 47-hole drilling program covering approximately 27,000 linear feet starting in July 2026, preceded by the completion of environmental baseline studies. In early August 2026 came another external validation: inclusion in the Solactive Global Uranium & Nuclear Components Total Return Index, qualifying Eagle for entry into the Global X Uranium ETF, one of the world’s leading sector funds. Greater visibility drives capital inflows, and capital inflows accelerate the ability to raise financing.
The appointment of CBIZ fits squarely into this trajectory. A reputable independent auditor strengthens financial governance at exactly the moment the company is preparing to tackle its most capital-intensive phases — from extensive drilling and environmental permitting to the development of its SMR program. The combination of a nationally significant uranium resource and an exclusively licensed reactor technology remains Eagle’s core bet: not a mine with ambitions, but a nuclear platform aiming to command the entire value chain, from rock to electricity. If domestic uranium demand continues to strengthen — as multi-year price trends over recent quarters suggest — this integrated architecture could prove to be precisely what the American energy market needs.
