Eagle Nuclear Appoints CBIZ as Official Auditor: Growth Starts with the Books

Eagle Nuclear Energy Corp. (NASDAQ: NUCL) has selected CBIZ CPAs P.C. as its independent registered public accounting firm. The appointment concerns one of the most active players in the American nuclear space: NUCL is the first U.S. company combining domestic uranium exploration and small modular reactor technology to be listed on a regulated exchange.

Choosing a high-profile external auditor is far more than a bureaucratic formality. For a company like Eagle, operating across two distinct fronts — mineral deposits and SMR development — having a robust, market-recognized accounting framework is central to credibility with institutional investors. Eagle Nuclear Energy Corp. trades on NASDAQ under the ticker NUCL, and in recent weeks had already gained further visibility: the company was added to the Solactive Global Uranium & Nuclear Components Total Return Index, a move that qualifies it for inclusion in the Global X Uranium ETF (NYSE Arca: URA), effective August 3, 2026.

The core of the company’s asset base is the Aurora Project, located in southern Oregon. Eagle holds one of the largest conventional uranium deposits in the United States, with an indicated resource of 32.75 million pounds and an inferred resource of 4.98 million pounds of surface uranium, along with the adjacent Cordex deposit. On the technology side, Eagle’s SMR technology is developed under an exclusive license with UNMRI, the commercial arm of the University of New Mexico, and is based on liquid metal-cooled reactor designs. The product range includes the VSLLIM model, with electrical generation capacity below 10 MWth, and the SLIMM, with output between 10 and 100 MWth.

Eagle aims to complete a pre-feasibility study in the second half of 2027 and has planned a 47-hole drilling program covering approximately 27,000 feet, with a start date scheduled for July 2026. On the SMR front, the company has already engaged Tensor Medium for advanced reactor simulations and optimization. The stated goal is to address growing demand for reliable energy and to support the advanced computing and artificial intelligence sectors, supplying uranium for both conventional reactors and the SMRs it intends to develop.

The appointment of CBIZ comes at a time when Eagle is building out its infrastructure as a mature public company. With its inclusion in the Solactive Index, Eagle now stands alongside names that define the global nuclear industry — from Cameco to GE Vernova and Fluor. A reputable independent auditor is the natural next step for a company seeking to attract institutional investors of that caliber. The direction is clear: Eagle wants to be judged not only on the strength of its deposits, but on the discipline with which it manages them.
