American Fusion Inc. (OTC: AMFN) has appointed Niclas von Schantz as a strategic advisor with a clear mandate: bring the Texatron Fusion Engine to international markets, starting with Europe. The announcement comes as the Texas-based company advances the development of its 5 MW neutron fusion system in pre-production configuration.
Von Schantz will cover a broad scope of responsibilities: brand strategy, market positioning, commercial planning, and international business development. The advisor brings more than 25 years of experience in brand strategy, commercialization, and market development, having worked with over 100 brands across more than 50 markets. His is a track record built over time and across vastly different industries. His expertise spans technology, energy, life sciences, industrial manufacturing, automotive, retail, gaming, and aviation.
Among his most notable engagements are strategic roles for Caterpillar (CAT Zeppelin), Vattenfall, Mazda Sweden, Uponor Infrastructure, Nilfisk, and ACCO Brands. He also led brand strategy for the Götessons Design Group during a revenue growth from approximately SEK 150 million to SEK 1.5 billion, co-founded GSIGN Gaming, and managed global strategy for EatGood. These are figures that speak to a career built across diverse markets rather than a single vertical. In his advisory role, he will focus primarily on European market development and on communicating complex technologies to non-technical business audiences.
The rationale behind the appointment is straightforward. As American Fusion moves closer to commercialization, how it positions the Texatron platform to industrial customers, strategic partners, and international markets becomes increasingly critical — particularly across Europe. Translating fusion technology into a compelling proposition for industrial procurement decision-makers is a specific discipline, entirely distinct from engineering. Von Schantz was selected precisely for that reason.
The Texatron Fusion Engine is a neutron fusion platform. It is designed for modular, infrastructure-grade deployment in industrial, commercial, and constrained-grid applications. American Fusion has already taken delivery of a 5 MW pre-production prototype and finalized a comprehensive testing protocol for the system. The technology was also presented at IEEE ICOPS 2026, the international conference on plasma physics, by CTO John Brandenburg.
The company’s advisory board is taking shape with a clear structure: scientific expertise on one side — with figures such as physicist Robert V. Duncan — and commercial expertise on the other. Von Schantz’s appointment completes that logic. If the technology holds up under testing, the next step is identifying the right markets and the customers capable of evaluating it. Europe, with its growing demand for distributed, grid-independent energy, is the most natural starting point.
