American Fusion Inc. (OTCQB: AMFN) has filed 21 new U.S. patent applications tied to its Texatron Fusion Engine platform, bringing the total intellectual property portfolio to 151 pending applications with the USPTO. The update, announced on September 22, 2026, from Southlake, Texas, also covers progress on engineering tests and plans for a potential uplisting to a national stock exchange.

The latest filings address reactor architectures, quartz confinement devices, grooved toroidal geometries, and electronic pulse control systems. The company is building multilayered patent coverage across several technological domains: plasma confinement, fuel management, electromagnetic systems, and energy handling. The stated goal is to surpass 260 applications by the end of 2026. By mid-September, the portfolio had already reached 151, following rapid growth: 76 in July, 82 in August, and 130 in early September.

On the testing front, American Fusion has identified a specific site for a dedicated test facility, negotiated key terms and a purchase price, and expects to enter escrow through its affiliate. Current testing continues at a university laboratory. Previously, the verification program had been conducted at Texas Tech University, with phases focused on subsystems, plasma controls, fuel systems, and equipment calibration. The Texatron is described as a neutron fusion platform designed for modular deployment at infrastructure scale.

Regarding intellectual property, the applications remain pending and subject to USPTO examination — with no guarantee of grant or final scope. That said, the pace of filings and the breadth of areas covered — reactor architecture, deuterium and helium-3 configurations, aluminum confinement structures — signal a systematic rather than opportunistic protection strategy. Researcher Dr. John E. Brandenburg presented the Texatron engine at a scientific conference held at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, further raising the project’s academic profile.

On the financial and market side, AMFN is evaluating an uplisting from OTCQB to a national stock exchange. The Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) is the preferred candidate, with NYSE and Nasdaq as alternatives. The company believes it already meets TXSE’s initial listing criteria, with the exception of the minimum share price requirement, which may necessitate a reverse stock split. Several financing term sheets linked to a potential listing have been received. Should the test facility deal close and experimental results prove positive, the path to a major exchange would become tangible. For a company at this stage of development, securing a proprietary test site fundamentally changes the nature of its technology development journey.
