Premier American Uranium strikes uranium at Kaycee: 10 feet at 0.064% eU₃O₈

Premier American Uranium has announced new drilling results at its Kaycee project in Wyoming, with significant uranium mineralization intercepts in the Rustler and Outpost areas. The 100,000-foot 2026 exploration program is in full swing and has already identified multiple mineralized trends within the Wasatch Formation.

Premier American Uranium has released new drilling results from the Kaycee project in Wyoming’s Powder River Basin: 10 feet at 0.064% eU₃O₈ mark the latest intercept from an exploration program showing no signs of slowing down. The holes are being drilled as part of a 100,000-foot plan for 2026 — the most ambitious the company has undertaken to date.

The Rustler area is at the heart of the most encouraging results. Hole RT26-085 intersected 3.5 feet at 0.135% eU₃O₈, including a 2-foot interval grading 0.204% eU₃O₈. Drilling data confirmed uranium mineralization in two distinct sandstone units within the lower portion of the Wasatch Formation — the same host formation as the deposits in the nearby Pumpkin Buttes mining district. Downhole geophysical logs also indicate possible stacked roll fronts in the upper unit, a signal that explorationists interpret as potentially favorable for mineralization continuity at depth.

At the time of the announcement, 50 conventional rotary holes totaling 41,960 feet had been completed across the Rustler and Outpost areas, representing approximately 42% of the planned program. In the Outpost area, seven of 27 completed holes intersected uranium mineralization grading at or above 0.02% eU₃O₈. The 2026 results build on an already solid foundation: in 2025, the company completed 132 holes for over 100,107 feet, with intercepts including 3.5 feet at 0.27% eU₃O₈ in hole LT25-065 and 6.5 feet at 0.063% eU₃O₈ in hole LT25-059. The 2025 program also confirmed, in the Outpost area, a developing roll-front system within channel sands of the Fort Union Formation.

The Kaycee project has a recent history of steady expansion. Between 2023 and the first half of 2024, roughly 200 holes had already confirmed and extended historical mineralization across three main zones. In October 2024, drilling shifted toward untested regional targets, identifying two new roll-front mineralization zones — among the best results recorded to that point. Around the same time, Premier American Uranium acquired 1,883 acres of new mineral rights linking the Rustler and Stampede areas, further broadening the exploration footprint. The company describes Kaycee as one of the most extensive greenfield uranium exploration programs currently underway in the United States.

The broader context underscores the significance of these results. The Powder River Basin has for decades been the leading district for in-situ recovery uranium mining in the United States. The proximity of Energy Fuels’ Nichols Ranch project — less than five miles to the east — provides a direct geological reference point: the host sand characteristics at Kaycee are considered analogous to those of an already-operating ISR facility. With roughly 60% of the annual program still to be completed and new mineral rights recently secured, the coming months will determine whether the identified mineralization has sufficient continuity to advance toward a formal resource estimate.
