Nuclear plants are sensitive infrastructures and are therefore subject to physical security requirements, cybersecurity, access control, response plans, and analysis of external events. An attack can increase risk, especially if it compromises power, cooling, or personnel. However, not every act of sabotage implies core meltdown or radiological release. The Ukrainian case shows that armed conflict near nuclear facilities is a serious security concern, not something to be dismissed.
