Spent fuel and radioactive waste increase if nuclear energy is produced and no final disposal is implemented, but they are accounted for, contained, and stored in pools or dry casks. Furthermore, part of the fuel can be reprocessed and recycled, although this does not eliminate all waste. The problem is managerial and political, not an uncontrolled and invisible accumulation.
